- Main object of SAP , Kolhapur is to prevent cruelty of animals under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act 1960.
- To work for Welfare of Animals.
- To give Veterinary Services to ailing (ill) Pets by establishing Pets Clinic.
- To prevent Rabies disease by arranging free vaccination camps.
- To provide minerals, dewormers and necessary medicines to draught affected and also flood affected animals .
- To arrange free camps at remote places so as to examine infertility problem cases and to give proper treatment by our Veterinarians.
- To prevent increasing number of stray dogs by arranging Animal Birth Control programmes as per Animal Birth Control Act 1961.
- To educate people in subject of Animal Welfare by arranging Animal Welfare Training Programme.
- To develop awareness regarding pet care and Rabies disease in Children.
